These "What's in Motion?" pads index organizations that the group convening here is already connected to (or interested in) AND that one or more of us believes might be built upon or partnered with in our work going forward.

Eventually, we might compile these into a searchable database. For now, this list can help us to get started, see the bigger picture, and imagine +the "adjacent possible" for conversations co-convened by those of us who are currently showing up.

  • Each participant is invited to add to this list, using a blank template below.  Note: you must sign into hackpad to edit this page, using either Facebook, Google, or an email and password you set up. More on how to use hackpad here.

Dialogue and Deliberation in Motion

National Coalition for Dialogue and Deliberation

  • The National Coalition for Dialogue & Deliberation is a network of thousands of innovators who bring people together across divides to tackle today’s toughest challenges. NCDD serves as a gathering place, a resource clearinghouse, a news source, and a facilitative leader for this extraordinary community. More about who we are and what we do.

This inquiry was catalyzed by a conversation begun on the NCDD Listserv by Tom Atlee, during the latest fabulous bi-annual conference, held in Reston, VA in October. Most participants of DandDTrans are NCDD members, but if you're here and you haven't joined yet, what are you waiting for?!

World Cafe/Central Garden

It's the 20th anniversary of the World Cafe's creation. "Big plans" are afoot that might synergize with the possibilities we are exploring here. The "central garden" vision, in particular, might be another framing for the "container" we are imagining.
