How to have the best virtual presentation

1 → Join the meeting
  1. Go to your meeting event on your calendar
  1. Click on the WebEx link
  1. Make sure you have WebEx installed on your computer. 
  1. If you don’t, your computer will automatically start promoting you to download the extension. This should not take long to download and will automatically open the software after it is done.
  1. Click the green “Join Meeting” button

2 → Test the equipment
  1. Check if your microphone is working
  1. Check if your speaker is working

3 → Minimize microphone feedback

  1. Mute microphone when you are not talking
Mute microphones of people that are not part of conversations
4 → Show the presentation slides
Click the Share Content button and select your Microsoft PowerPoint presentation. This will begin presenting your PowerPoint.
Make sure to click the Start Slideshow button at the top of your screen:

Make sure the presenter is in full screen/full presentation mode. If not, let them know.
5 → Record presentation

Nothing (it will automatically start recording when meeting starts)

To make sure the meeting is being recorded, you can hover over the recording icon (red dot) in the upper right corner of the screen and it will say “Meeting recording in progress.”
6 → Ask questions

  1. Save till the end of the talk
  1. Type in your question on the comment section
  1. The host will moderate the questions
Ask questions from Chat out loud to speaker.
7 → End the meeting
Nothing
(same as for speaker)
Click the red “X” button and click “End meeting” when meeting is completely over.
8 → Share the recorded lecture
