Prototype ribbons
Overview
Use this section to:
A prototype ribbon is a module complied of elements that indicates the state of completion that the site or page is.
When to use this pattern
Use the prototype ribbon to indicate if the page or site is at an alpha or beta state.
As well as indicating to the user the state of the page or site the ribbon allows feedback from the user of any potential issues.
When
NOT
to use this pattern
Do not use the prototype ribbon if the page or site has been officially launched after the discovery phase of alpha and beta.
How it works
For a site wide alpha or beta release the ribbon should be placed underneath the cookie ribbon and above the header.
For a page alpha or beta release the ribbon should be placed below the partnership ribbon, breadcrumb ribbon, header or all three.
