  • Fixed: Network paths that begin with escape characters (e.g. t , x, ”, n, r, *, ?, %, etc.) were recognized as invalid and prevented the merging drag&drop interaction for assets with such paths.
  • Fixed: Paths that contain an escape character (e.g. t , x, ”, n, r, *, ?, %, etc.) after \ (backlash) were recognized as invalid if the character is uppercase (e.g. T, X, N, etc.).

  • Removed commands: Open (max default), Merge, About/Config, Merge UI, Replace UI;

  • Commands are rearranged following a more logical and intuitive structure;
  • Flyout menus with more context options are added to the Replace commands.

  • The dialog is now positioned down right in the Max interface in order to not interfere with the merging interactions;
  • The dialog now doesn’t block the other interactions in Max so the user can still navigate the viewport while merging assets;

  • Added “Auto Find Settings” dialog with separate options for merging assets and adding assets. Accessible through: Right-click context menu > Connecter Preferences > Auto-find External Files Settings;
  • Added “Search & Relink” dialog with functionality to search and manage the external files when merging/adding assets or working with the opened 3d scene;
  • Now search can work with selected favorite locations;
  • Added “Refresh” button which resolves all external paths listed in MEF;
  • When opened through the context menu, MEF is no longer blocking the other interactions in 3ds Max thus allowing the user to interact simultaneously with the scene and MEF;
