Share Your Foster Care Story and Inspire Others!

Are you a parent, youth, caregiver, or service provider who has experience with foster care?

The Children’s Bureau is calling for real-life stories highlighting collaborative relationships between families, youth, and professionals to promote family engagement and permanency.

Sharing your story can inspire others to support children and youth in similar situations. Real-life stories can also guide training, raise awareness, and demonstrate successful child welfare practices.

Tell us how the right mix of supportive services and relationships helped strengthen your family or families you have worked with—we may feature your story as part of the National Foster Care Month 2020 initiative!

We hope these real-life stories will demonstrate how each of us has a role to play in enhancing the lives of children and youth in foster care.

Send in your submission by October 23rd, 2019 to support the National Foster Care Month 2020 initiative. More details are available on the website.

Please note all stories and photographs are subject to approval by the Children’s Bureau and Child Welfare Information Gateway.
