Round Two Question:
  • Imagine collaborating on some thrilling initiative that is making the difference we most need...
  • What is that project and who is involved?
  • (If you have time) Explore why you chose this particular vision and how it relates to the visions of others in your group.

Collaborative Notes

Carol: working on a project to alleviate poverty in a disadvantaged neighbourhood; root cause for violence seems to be poverty.

Ellie: working on a travelling exhibition, around justice and peace and social change. How do people make that happen? Collaboration with schools and high schools and community members...
I was visualizing something around the question what it would mean to bring all the different aspects of social change together in an exhibition in the Museum for Civil Rights.

Gary: About to head to India for 5 months. Creating educational resources for schools around climate change in Nepal.
Activity needs surely to be empowering. Creative non-linear process. Modeling different paradigm. Connecting people with different interest who might be inspired to participate in a broader initiative--at a specific limited moment-- that is not in their typical territory....and then enjoying everyone else focusing on the issue/principle that they are usually interested in.

Michaela: imagining wildly... An initiative around "The Art of Commoning in Health Care" - cross-nation-state, cross-sectoral, inviting all voices into the circle: professionals, patients...
Empowering. (I will post the links to the Art of Commoning initiatives that have already happened later...)

Ellie: when people feel seen and heard, the magic happens!!! Wisdom Council in Asheville, using Dynamic Facilitation. Great to see what is possible!

What would be the ideal outcomes / the aspiration for your dream?

Ellie: my interest is in youth engagement. My hope is for ripple effect, youth becoming connected with others - and their voices would be heard! Youth are engaged. Energized youth is my goal, my journey.

Carol: Ripple effect... I am exploring the Social Lab - is an organisational form that resolves those issues inside-outside.
Content framework that can be replicated in urban environments
a healthy vibrant cooperative city

Michaela: what would become possible if we allow those who are most affected to speak their wisdom? Stepping out of the expert paradigm, stepping into a space in which professionals and patients can sit together in circle...
