Commentary

The Book of Habakkuk is one of the minor prophet books of the Old Testament written by the prophet Habakkuk written around 600 BC. The book explores the destruction of Judea and Jerusalem because of the sins of her people and the consolation that those who are faithful can find despite this. A major theme of Habakkuk is trying to grow to trust God despite perplexity and doubt and in the book Habakkuk expresses his ultimate faith in God, even if he doesn't fully understand.
