Tom's calling question: What do we, as members of the dialogue and deliberation community of practice, have to be and do to enable our most positive transformational impact in the face of emerging global crises which fundamentally challenge our business-as-usual habits and systems?

sun goddess circle and fungi symbols profound and simple: sense of integration and everything coming together as a unit rather from the top down; teeming, random association of spores being thrown in every direction and coming from the bottom up. A tough tension between top/down-bottom/up...being forces into"integral form"..."wholeness"
Mark:
A sense of being myself as part of a whole system with a lot on intention, energy and capability. wisdom and skills. A way to BE is to feel the strength of that in myself and the gp, and stand for that amongst the broader set of citizens in the community. with humility and strength around that capacity.
This tech that Ben and his colleagues have been supporting us in will evolve.., and some money would help!
Actions and projects are premature... And I've noticed the last few weeks that I've brought Jim Rough's material into a project I'm doing(three social innovations, and choice creating vs decision making). made it a richer convo, esp when there are divergent views and polarization, fear, etc. creates space for expansion and possibility
Robert:
Really appreciating two things 1. Picture myself in relating to this technology with a different quality of listening and thinking 2. Aware of way in which I'm seeing these critical issues as a concern of mine. I am a part of why these issues exist. I'm sitting in reality. Important part of being present and being true. The quality of conversation is increased by how I sit in these real issues. Connection and point of entry is made more meaningful. Sense of humbleness and relate to others by seeing people reach for the highest potential of what they are seeking to be. I see and experience both huge and small in my connection using this technology.
Laurie:
Desire for brilliance, but is still on a perrsonal level, home educated her kids out of necessity. Now their grads and she feels success. She has noticed her use of small groups in her life as her main way of relating successfully. She relates to the future of small groups and she likes the use of small groups in these calls. The nurturing of the small is important to her. She is a trained Maestro driver. She volunteers and this helps her as she works in small groups.
Ben
So much I could say. One thing has to do with my own sense and collective sense The story that things are too fragmented. People are in silos not coordinated. We need convergence and consistency amongst change agents. The process(in the past) is not conducive to convergence. Lots of opportunity and a desire to trust that it will converge. It is happening. The shift does not get done by command and control. If we are to solve this it will be in different ways. We need to relax into this and trust that this is happening
