​​Here’s how a guide might be developed with the EC1 Echo community newspaper -  ​+Exploring EC1 with the Echo​

​​As described in ​+About Exploring EC1​ we would aim to develop a guide covering:

​​

• ​​Places - locations that can be represented on geographic maps

• ​​People - individuals, groups, organisations - that may or may not be strongly associated with a specific location, but could be listed and searched in directories or from social media accounts

• ​​Activities - formal and informal events, that may be associated with a variety of places and people, and which could be organised through calendars, - recommend.me

• ​​Connections and relationships between the above elements that can be represented in network maps.

• ​​Data about neighbourhood and community characteristics

• ​​Communication and conversations - increasingly online, using social media media

• ​​Stories about all of the above, which help people make sense of what’s happening
