Guide outline
+Exploring EC1 | +EC1 index | +Guide development index

Here’s how a guide might be developed with the EC1 Echo community newspaper -  +Exploring EC1 with the Echo

As described in +About Exploring EC1 we would aim to develop a guide covering:

  • Places - locations that can be represented on geographic maps
  • People - individuals, groups, organisations - that may or may not be strongly associated with a specific location, but could be listed and searched in directories or from social media accounts
  • Activities - formal and informal events, that may be associated with a variety of places and people, and which could be organised through calendars, - recommend.me
  • Connections and relationships between the above elements that can be represented in network maps.
  • Data about neighbourhood and community characteristics
  • Communication and conversations - increasingly online, using social media media
  • Stories about all of the above, which help people make sense of what’s happening
