  • Please use the this space to share your thoughts now about Tom’s original question and what occurred for you over this past month of involvement: What do we, as members of the dialogue and deliberation community of practice, have to be and do to enable our most positive transformational impact in the face of emerging global crises which fundamentally challenge our business-as-usual habits and systems?
  •
  • Use the queries below if they help but don’t feel bound to respond to them or be in any way limited by them. Tell the stories and give the details that will make your ideas and experiences come alive.
  •
  • What you gained:
  •
  • I gained having the opportunity to have in depth conversations on many issues of deep concern to humanity.  I felt my breadth of depth was expanded by so many perspectives that touched on the same issues from a different angle.  I also learned of things never heard of like quadrants and pattern language.
  •
  • What you experienced: How did you feel or change at different points in this process? Which processes did you participate in? Which were new to you? For processes you’ve experienced before, what was it like doing them online? What worked for you, and why? What didn’t? How might you use or change these processes on another occasion? What about the web tools used? Maestro? Hackpads? Zoom (if you experienced that)? Any others?
  •
  • I experienced feelings that there are no words yet created to explain.  But I also experienced a great joy in dialoguing with kindred spirits.  I probably will have further thoughts down the path as I reflect on all this info and how it is connected to what I perceive in a holistic way taking note of many associated factors.
  •
  • What next: What are you doing, will do or might do as related at least in part to the question that brought us together and/or as a result of what we have done together? Who else would (might) you involve?
  •
  • Whats next for me is that I am trying to form a group to work on a group dialogue for global transformation.  I personally am interested in what would happen beyond this change actually taking place?  Are we prepared to have a foundation that could be implemented in a matter of a few weeks? Have enough people agreed to participate so this could be planned in different ways according to where you live, your cultural group, your personal beliefs, etc. so the transition will be peaceful and non-violent?  That is the kind of effort I would like to participate in.  I am most focused on creating a change in education to a student focused education combined with emotional education.  I hope to have some impact on this.  But beyond that, or through that part I would also like to work on a systemic change to imagine and create the kind of world we want and the many solutions that are already being talked about to these matters in books, alternative press and a great many other places.  I wish to do this through finding a way to unify and inform the people who most need to know about the alternative choices in the way society is and the ones who are least likely to find out.
  •
  • If you are interested could you let me know and any ideas of how we could do this, on what platform, etc.?  Should it be by phone, email, hackpad kind of thing, etc.?
  •
  • If you know anyone else interested in this, or wish to pass it on please invite them or pass it on.
  •
  • Please use the following email to respond as it is different than the one on the hackpad: shawkins11.lusory@yahoo.com
  •
  • Thank you in advance.

i really liked your question, giving me chills:  Are we prepared to have a foundation that could be implemented in a matter of a few weeks?
I have a  solutional focused vision that feels really close to this: What if individuals could learn about the power of diverse inclusive thinking in resolving our difficult social, environmental and economic problems, through: examples they can see the value of; and accompanying participatory activities that teach them the new skills needed? This requires us to create dialogue tools and compelling examples of how to live in a more inclusive, included, and emergent way? How quickly would we all snap into a new story. It is easy to long for white knight led change but the change we need to become is something more organic. This is my mission to foster and views like yours help me stay grounded. Thanks. (And It feels like there could be things to discuss in the coming months)
