​​To have confidence in your system after you perform an upgrade, the series of functional tests described below should all pass.

​​Technical Validation

​​Before testing the workflows, the following technical tests should be performed.
​​
​​PB: We could consider producing a check list from this document. I am happy to do that. Any user could then simply execute the tasks on the checklist and make sure the appropriate result is observed.

​​Sanity Checks

​​The following simple checks should be performed:

  1. ​​Are there any error in the log during startup?
  1. ​​Can you log in without errors?
  1. ​​Are any system messages shown after log in?
  1. ​​Are all modules running?
