StreetMuseum is “a bid to put the collections of the museum where they belonged, on the streets of London” (Antony Robbins, Museum of London Director of Communications, 2014), allowing “users to compare past and present London – not in a museum but out there on the streets of the capital…  Rather than waiting for audiences to come to us we were taking our collections to them” (Vicky Lee, Museum of London Marketing Manager, 2013) and as a means of “raising the profile of the Museum itself, particularly among young Londoners who we have previously struggled to reach” (Mike Ellis, digital consultant, 2010).
