Today we are asking the question, are digital nomads, like myself and Piotrek by guest today, traitors to homelands our mother culture?
Today we are joined by my friend and fellow multi-year digital nomad Piotrek, who goes by Nerd On Tour, and who has made it his expertise to provide information and resources to digital nomads.
I was recently interviewed on his Nerd on Tour podcast, link below, to discuss the practicalities of nomadism in Asia, as well as introduce some of the philosophy of it. In this episode of Bevry, we will go into a deeper dive.
Who am I? I’m Benjamin, an Australian who has spent several years living abroad, and the fonder of Bevry, which seeks to transform isolated and cultic wisdom into collaborative wisdom.

Overview
What is a digital nomad?
What is a culture, and what is a civilisation?
What causes cultures and civilisations to rise or fall?
Where does digital nomads fit in, and in what ways are they beneficial and detrimental, to their homelands, and to where they reside?
This. is where we will relate our experience and spend most of our time.
Killing your opposition is incredibly effective way of maintaining a civilisation for centuries
Until there is a ideological flaw inside your civilisation, in which case it crumbles systemically
The hero’s journey, romeo and juliet, etc etc, are all about learning from your opposition, or learning from what is foreign, to increase internal and external trade, increased trust, increased resilience and prosperity
This is what a category of digital nomad hopes to be
Where does digital nomadism fit in?[*]
It can solve disempowerment, not from broken window economics but from empowerment
