Barts Fair and MotS
+MotS index
Linked project ideas:
- Restaging Bartholomew Fair as an event
- Curating guides, walks, events and virtual tours - Museum of the Streets
- A museum and community information hub at the Library or elsewhere
In practice:
- The Bartholomew Fair event in September 2023.
- Existing maps, guides, history, media curated online - with displays at a hub
- Experiments with A/R and V/R
- Scope for community engagement, and a learning community
What we have already:
- Keen interest and commitment to the Fair from Barts900 and other interests
- Experiments combining maps, walks and media to explore EC1, undertaken since 2019
- Interest in collaboration on MotS from the EC1 Echo, The City Courant magazine, Culture Mile BID, Peel Institute, Footways project, Barbican Library, guides, Living Maps Network.
Decisions:
- Possible scope and scale of the Fair. Who leads. Supporting group.
- Possible development of Museum of the Streets, and information hub
- How to link with Destination City and BID plans
