Notes
What draws you to this conversation?

John: Tom, Ben, and Linda are important voices that I want to be attuned to. Happy to be with you all.

Robert: Appreciated that "Kittyhawk" allusion to the challenge of D&D... the organizational dynamics of collaboration.
  • Robert: Of the view that there is capacity (need?) for us to understand each others language -- and to "pull out the threads" of (our communication). The inventory of skills, over time, will be important for us to learn about each other. Tom's list focused on a decentralized approach... our inventory of capacity will be important.
  • Robert -- asking Janice: Are you geared to supporting activists organizations or a cross section of collaborating efforts?

Janice: working on democratic reform at the European Union (EU) level and environment reform at the local level. Trying to translate all of these to a personal level. "Where is (our) conversation now?"
  • Janice: Individuals are activists or issue advocates... but they are not interested in a different process...
  •
Linda: Interested in the idea of what we know about process and organization in order to self-organize. Trying to learn "where does dialogue come in?"
  • Linda: We as a group have an understanding that "this" is a cultural shift... how can we actually self-organize to help those organization at the front-line of this shift. How can we deploy ourselfes as access consultants for other organizations?
  •
  • Linda to Janice: We need to create an awareness of how essential this process is. The "top down" approach does not really work very well and those organizations "at the bottom" (?) may not be aware of how much time it takes to change... (Linda, please edit)
