Round Two Question:
  • Imagine collaborating on some thrilling initiative that is making the difference we most need...
  • What is that project and who is involved?
  • (If you have time) Explore why you chose this particular vision and how it relates to the visions of others in your group.

Collaborative Notes
I'm in Canberra Australia and I am involved with a project doing Kitchen Table Conversations with people in my community 10 people have two conversations Round 1 answering the question What is important to you? Using a talking piece for everyone to listen respoectfully to each other rather than challenge each other's views. Someone takes naotes then a couple of weeks later Round 2 question What needs to happen? We have 180 people participating and we are now writing up the report to make it available to all participants and share it in our community Details at http://see-change.org.au/votp-kitchen-table-conversation
I think you two should do some talking and listening to each other
Lovely
I would like to use easy to use virtual collaboration platforms to build more connections across multiple groups and communities
I'm also very involved in my local food systems working on the Canberra City Farm and Urban Agriculture Australia

Grady
  • Doing a conversation project around climate change. One with colleagues and one with neighbors. Another with colleagues in Jan. In all cases I invited people who likely believed in human-caused climate change. My goal was not to persuade anyone of anythings, but to check in on thoughts and feelings about how big a threat we were facing and what might we do. 2 hour conversations: large group, breakouts, and return to large group. It seems to be increasing motivation to move on climate change.
  • Similar to Kitchen Table talks, but without the 2 phases.

@Joseph McIntyre
Facilitator working on collaborative change for complex systems especially food systems but project Joseph is interested in is to enable young and emerging leaders. A network of circles around the world enabling and cultivating emerging leadership. Tools, personal cultivation and support systems to enable this.
How to take advantage of elder wisdom and experience without shackling young leaders eg an elder wisdom council to accelaerate change by passing down wisdom but not dictating. Mentorship, coaching
A collective voice encouraging another collective. An opportunity to reintegrate multigenerational activities.
My father is 83 is wonderfully gifted but finds himself invisible.
There is a disconnect between existing power holders and emerging leaders. We need wisdom to assist both groups.
The Academy for Systemic Change is a prjoect I'm involved in
Grady also knows Hal and Robert Hannig and has done work on food lab
All these projects you are talking about resonate for me (Mark)

Thankyou to both of you
