Planning an in-person or virtual event? Please use the Oberlin Events Calendar(https://calendar.oberlin.edu) to invite campus and community members to your event. Log in using your OC username and password.
When publicizing a virtual event, please follow these tips:
Event Type: Use the drop-down menu to select the type of event you are promoting. Also select"Virtual Events" from the drop-down menu. Doing so adds the virtual icon to the event listing.
Ticket Link: If advanced registration is required, type the(URL) link in this field. If registration is via a Zoom or Google form, place the(URL) link in this field.
Zoom access: If you require attendees to access the virtual event via Zoom(or other platform), include the access ID code and password in the description field. Or include the name, phone, and or email for attendees to contact to get this information.
**If hybrid or in-person, type a few letters of the name of the college or conservatory building where event is taking place(Wilder Hall, the’Sco, King Building, etc, ) to auto-populate this field.
Depending on calendar view, type in“Virtual”
Registration
Add(URL) link to a Zoom or Google form if registration is required
If event requires registration, add Zoom or Google URL(link) to ticket link field
Description Field: Include event access information
Include event access information in description field by including contact info OR access ID and password.
**Can also add registration(URL) link in the description field
Optional: Place Zoom access link or livestream link
