3. Activate and Get Your Free License

Check your mailbox, you will receive up to two e-mails:

  1. A first email from J Cube with the license activation link:
  • you must click to receive your license in the following email.

  1. Upon activating, you will receive a second email from J Cube with your free license key:
  • a  mv-license-key.txt will be attached (you will use in step 4).

4. Install Multiverse

Install Multiverse on your system. The procedure is a bit different for each O/S and we have detailed installation documentation for each platform, please carefully read the relevant one that applies to your case:

5. Put the License Key in Multiverse

Put the the mv-license-key.txt file that you received by e-mail (Step 3.2) in your Multiverse installation folder root (e.g. C:\Multiverse\Multiverse-6.4.0).

6. Launch Maya and load the Multiverse Plug-In

Start Maya, go to the Plug-In Manager, you will see the MultiverseForMaya Plug-In. Click "Load" and wait for the online license validation. Upon success you will be able to use Multiverse for free on your projects.

  • Internet Requirements
  • If you are using the Free Version, your computer must be connected to the internet.
  • Make sure that your firewall allows Maya to connect to the internet. If you are using the Free Version within a studio network, and your studio uses the Windows Proxy system, you have to setup the http_proxy and https_proxy environment variables with your windows domain user name and password to let Maya communicate with our servers and checkout your free license.
