Research questions

Taking into consideration the participant criteria identified above, the questions are structured in such a manner for least load on the mind. Related questions are together and the different sections are segmented. 

Survey
I’ll be making use of google forms for the survey for a number of reasons: 
  • allows you to collect information easily and efficiently
  • stores the feedback received and analyzes it.
  • The forms are integrated with Google spreadsheets therefore I have access to a spreadsheet view of the collected data.

Interviews
Introduction: I’d like to talk with you about spending & budgeting. i have a couple of questions to ask and I’m very much interested in hearing your stories and experiences. 

  1. Tell me a little about yourself or a typical work day
  1. What are your interests, non-work interests.
  1. Walk me through your spending and budgeting for last month? 
  1. Do you track your spendings?
  1. Why do you budget and track your spending?
  1. Tell me about how you track your spendings?
  1. Would you consider yourself to be a big spender?
  1. You mentioned in 5, what would you like to improve about this experience?
  1. Have been circumstances when tracking your spendings was difficult and why?
  1. How you would rate your spending tracking (1-5)?
  1. Are they events that make you spend more money than required?
  1. Is there any other thing you’ll like to add?

The questions above serve as a guide, It usually not followed strictly because conversations lead to other questions.
