A. DIALOGS

5D+ Plus has 5 dialogs: Main, Building Information, Draw Boundary, Custom Settings, and License.

A.1. Main Dialog

You can click (1) to open the official website of 5D+ SketchUp, and (2) to open Settings Panel.

The main area of the dialog (3) is composed of 3 sections:

A.1.1. Scenes

Typically, to create drawings, you would create scenes by sequentially combining tasks such as: selecting the camera position and view direction, choosing the display style, toggling tags to hide or show objects, … This is a series of repetitive tasks that can become tedious and lead to inconsistencies, especially when working on a project with multiple files, even if you are using a pre-configured SketchUp template with everything set up.

With the Auto Scene feature, these tasks are fully automated and synchronized using pre-set configurations, without the need for a SketchUp template file. Moreover, it also includes helpful features to fix common issues, such as restoring the camera position that may have been altered when updating scenes, preventing misalignment in drawings when presenting layouts in LayOut, and more.

In this section, you can create scenes for construction drawings with just a few clicks.
