UI & UX Review for Contact.do
Site: https://contact.do

Landing Page, Overall Product, UX

First of all, I see potential in your app. I really liked it. Thank you for suggesting me to review it and the offer to provide ‘neu’ as my username. I would love to have it.

Review:

This is the view of your website from a browser of 1920x1080 desktop. I would suggest increasing your font-size for bigger screen sizes. You can also increase the size of heading and sub heading(‘Contact form in a link’ text and it’s subheading. ) To a user eye, from UX perspective, all the elements seem compressed in center. You can create margins and more whitespace.

  1. Increase the font size of overall design based on screen sizes
  1. Increase the size of headings
  1. Increase margin and create more white space.

When visiting the website for the first time, user might get confused by having a contact link already generated for them even before they enter their email.

This can be solved by:
  1. Asking for email address first
  1. Asking for a username if they are interested(Compared to contact.do/xYzA, contact.do/username looks much better in terms of UX and UI)
  1. If users don’t want username, they can get a contact link only then
  1. The purpose of using “FORGOT LINK” in conversion is confusing and creating friction. You can create the forgot link in your login section which I highly recommend creating

The above screenshot is of my startup’s landing page. You can see I ask for email and before that I mention it’s a 2 step sign up and mention 3 benefits before signing up.

You can do something similar to the features section on the right of your website. Take out 2-3 most important features and list it like I have listed just before your enter email section to increase conversion rates. Too many features before “signup” can reduce signups.

You can include features in the bottom after user signup.

  1. Create a login section because there is no login system as far as I’m concerned. It tells you to click in forgot link. It’s a negative score in UX. Instead you can create a login section where once user enters the email address, they get a link in email which redirects them to their inbox. I know you have already tried something similar to this but it’s just not clear.

This is the “Enter your message” box. One very important tip you can use is the following:
  1. Ask for full name or first name of users and show it at the top.
  1. Have a send button at the bottom and remove the “get-contact-link” button from there. The primary goal is to send an email and not sign up. After the message has been successfully sent, you can then say something like”Your message has been sent. You can get started with contact.do click here” or similar.

Once the message is sent, it is received in gmail as a spam. It is not seen in inbox:
There are certain procedures that one has to follow. If the email notification is not seen in inbox, no one will see it. So please fix this as soon as possible.

  1. You can create a login, Logout system
  1. Searching for all messages in inbox is a hassle. Have a collection of all sent messages from users in the dashboard

So far, these are the things I see in your website. I really like the concept. Reserve a “neu” username for me, please 😄 I’m looking forward to using it. Please fix the email spam thing as soon as possible.
