Troubleshooting Hosted apps
(Citrix)
Q4
Hosted Apps don't actually run on your computer, but on a super secure server.
There
are
several things that can go wrong when working with Citrix:
1. workplace_ infrastructure could have problems
C
heck
our status page
.
I
f you see
“All
Systems Operational”
,
it’s not us
;
proceed to point 2.
If you can only work
via
H
osted apps
(
Citrix
)
,
you may not be able to
access files or
email until
the issue is cleared up.
Our team is generally able to resolve Citrix problems within an hou
r; check the
workplace_ status page
for updates.
If
you have permissions to
sync files to your computer or use Office in your browser
,
you may be able to continue working with files
.
If you
have permissions to
use local
email
apps,
access email when Hosted Outlook isn’t working
.
2. Your device’s internet speed could be too slow
Since Citrix apps
“broadcast”
the entire screen to your computer, they need a fast internet connection.
Try a
speed test
.
I
f your connection is slower than 65 mb/ps you might want to try connecting to
a different Wifi
/
other network
or find
ing
another spot to work from.
If
you have permissions to
sync files to your computer or use Office in your browser
,
you may be able to continue working with files
.
No luck? If you
have permissions
, try using our
mobile apps
to check email and access files.
3. Your company server may be overloaded
Your company hosted application server can be slow if a lot of people are using it, or
if
you are using many apps.
If you experience slow Hosted Citrix apps or odd app behavior,
restart your apps
.
If
you have permissions to
sync files to your computer or use Office in your browser
,
you may be able to continue working with files
.
Keep checking the
workplace_ status page
for updates. If there’s a problem, our teams are working on it so you can get back to work!
