(TRWDC) Two Row Wampum Development Council One Pager

Great Law of Peace - 2k+ year old Oral Constitution;

Extrapolated from even older indigenous cosmology.

Relevant to BS governance via Primavera’s research on blockchain based systems long term dynamics & what indigenous approaches to social organization may be able to teach us.

Two Row Wampum - Peace Treaty Extrapolated from constitution & diplomatic tool for millenia between indigenous nations (pre)European settlement;

Legal nation to nation Treaty signed by various settlers;

TRW protection is available through mere dialogue w/ indigenous matrilineal traditional councils;

There are obviously immediate benefits of direct collaboration w/entities that have internationally recognized nationhood status & jurisprudence; especially w/out restrictions of conventional bureaucracy in this native context.

Nation to nation status is a rare thing not only in the Americas for indigenous nations, but globally. There are various reasons for this globally. In north America, brutal histories & complex legislative & financial concessions were ultimately designed specifically to undermine already internationally recognized TRW protections of inland nations of the eastern seaboard.

These concessions for a loss of culture & nation to nation leverage run deeper than can be seen on surface level. Deeper than Casinos or insulting land “rights.“ In so called Canada for example there are Band Councils of elected Tribal chiefs-- These chiefs have actually lost legal title holding status according their indigenous constitution — as well as according to Canadian law, TRW status being revoked w/Band council membership written into band council contracts.

The term Band council can be seen in scrolls of “old money” contracts from early 1800s, which were renewed contracts from early 1600s. These eerie contracts read how you would imagine the brutal contracts between Monarch’s of that day would. The term Band council is referenced when the contract begins to allocate points on every natural resource extracted from the continent..

The language of the contract also makes explicit that this extraction will be unending: “..As long as the sun shines, grass grows & water is in the streams..” Is unfortunately an eerie but accurate paraphrasing of said language.

There are even bigger implications on long term dynamics of blockchain based systems w/the proper & legal relationship to the hemisphere-- according to the matrilineal indigenous constitution & treaty meant to protect the hemisphere.

Matrilineal Council - Life Giver’s Nation (LGN) is a recent (2yrs old) extension to the Two Row Wampum Peace Treaty, an acknowledgement of the historical error of the eastern seaboard nations tasked w/preparing TRW protocols for coming European nations, to protect entire hemisphere after getting word from southern nations about the destruction already seen.

As the Kanienke'ha'ka',”Mohawk” are the eastern door of the Five Nations Longhouse Confederacy; obliged to secure all inland nations w/the TRW peace treaty. (Traditional name is an important distinction in self identification to reference matrilineal traditions)

Native cosmology has matrilineal connection to social & ecological protections in long term dynamics.

Also relevant to matrilineal protocols is (De)horning or removal of title in hands of Women titleholders

Male titleholder(s) selection in hands of women titleholders too.

Also relevant to this TRW issue is matrilineal council for MIDs & DAOs as TRW governance solutions to the model described in this issue & supplemental One pager.

A Two Row Wampum Development Council, further described below, can become an powerful extension to this new LGN.

The LGN is an acknowledgement of what would have been hard to know for natives in first contact w/European settlers—the status of European women, or lack there of said status. When Benjamin Franklin or other colonialist sat in Five Nations Grand councils; they were exposed to matrilineal protocols, that unbenounced to natives, would never reach statusless European women.

LGN is an acknowledgement of the importance of women’s council for proper & legal relationship to both TRW protocols & the hemisphere.

Unique Jurisprudence - TRW protections can give capacities for innovative structure building outside conventional organization & legal constraints.

This is important to avoid falling into conventional structure building that can jeopardize web3 longterm dynamics.

TRW jurisprudence can enable a TRW Exchange w/out conventional gov’t constraints in US, CAN, South Am for BS chain(s) that are interested in native dialogue when building projects on the hemisphere;

Consensus Decision Making - There are important distinctions between majority vote decision making & 100% consensus decision making;

100% consensus rather than majority vote is important for long term bottom up power distribution protections;

Such decision making processes can be achieved w/out conventional fear of gridlock via guidance of protocols in interdisciplinary Indigenous check & balances.

This guidance can serve as important R+D in governance within an indigenous dialogue context. This context being important for viable alternatives to conventional governance in web3 going forward.

Along with this dialogue being the proper & legal relationship to the hemisphere-- according to the matrilineal indigenous constitution & treaty meant to protect the hemisphere.

A SIP that offers such R+D to voices of the community, in the form of an additional entity to the Stacks Foundation—a (TRWDC) can serve to directly impact the BS ecosystem in way of bottom up protections going forward.

Heritage Algorithms - Reconstitution of The Eagle & The Condor efforts are underway by indigenous groups of the western hemisphere. The idea is to (re)establish indigenous modes of organization, production, exchange & trade. Transforming modes of organization & production for all interested worldwide via TRW dialogue.

Heritage Algorithms is a term coined by the Generative Justice Research group in effort to protect against future iterations of colonialism in world trade models like DIDO > PITO

It references indigenous modes of production in traditional artisanal crafts & is key to our model of TRW bottom up systems that can work within the framework of the Fab City Initiative’s PITO v DIDO model;

The goal here being to establish Native dialogue based Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)→ better termed (TRWDGs)

Receiving word of the indigenous constitution & TRW protocols still intact; various traditional councils from around the hemisphere will gather next summer solstice, for guidance & collaboration w/ the Kanienke'ha'ka in Kahnawake, Canada.

Artisanal Networks - Utility Chain(s) as SIPs gives BS ecosystem a distributed network of experts, professionals, & makers akin to Waag Society & Technology but w/ an important indigenous modes of production, manufacturing & distribution or (TRW) dialogue focus.

R+D commons for TRWDGs; systems prototypes→small PoCs→Organically growing autonomous systems for local regional economies;

This R+D data services based model leverages max potential of (de)coupling & bottom up structures via designing innovation into foundation of the organization model for long term sustainability protections.

(TRWDC) - A Two Row Wampum Development Council SIP would offer all the above protections for bottom up power distribution directly to the future security of the Stack chain & its broader ecosystem of chain(s).

Such a SIP can attract experts in blockchain, digital fabrication & bottom up economics like: Primavera De Filippi, Anastasia Pistofidou, Tomas Diez, Ron Eglash & Audrey Bennett etc.

This kind of personnel would be more than capable of leveraging their know how & networks for technical blockchain & digital fabrication for needed support in this SIP’s efforts to revitalize indigenous modes of organization, exchange, trade & production via both blockchain and digital fabrication innovations.
