The main purpose of the orientation is to make you think about what will be lying ahead; it is to orientate your thinking. It can also be seen as a process of onboarding . But it is also more then just thinking about what is lying ahead.
In order to navigate what lies ahead, we want this orientation to make you aware of your strengths through a strength-based approach. In this way we envision that you will access latent skills about yourself.
Traditionally, study abroad has been presented to students as an opportunity for cultural exposure. Under the strengths-based approach, international experiences are an opportunity for further developing their strengths while cultivating a global mindset.
