December was a month filled with aviation activity. We started December 4th with a holiday party at Marina and Joe’s, complete with great food and a fun gift exchange. December 7th was the annual Toys 4 Tots at Oceano Airport. The weather cooperated(mostly). Lots of toys were collected and we listened and sang carols while serving lunch. On December 14th we delivered cookies to the tower, ACI Jet, SunWest, Cal Fire and the airport office[see photo above]. We got mini tours of each and had a chance to thank them all for supporting us all year long. Grace flew with Liz and Dana to Paso and met Cindy for lunch that same afternoon[see photo below].
As we close out a great year for our chapter, I look forward to another active year in 2020. Mark your calendars!!!

Safety Meeting in KSXM on JAN 15th
By Anele Brooks(via the SLO99s mailing list)
There is Safety Meeting at the Santa Maria Air Museum. Local Air Traffic Controllers will be at the meeting to update us on airport procedures, suggestions for pilots, etc. Bring your questions and put a voice to a face! This is always a good meeting. Patty Lynn will be sending a flyer with more details.
The Santa Maria 99s as well as ArtCraft Paint have put a lot of time and effort into cleaning up the Museum and the January Safety Meeting is a great time to see what's new at the museum. Remember, you get FAAST credit for attending.
