Code of Conduct

At the start of each semester, we will create a group agreement, otherwise known as a code of conduct that has been written collectively. (As a reference, we might refer to the School for Poetic Computation’s code of conduct).

Each person must add at least two items! Please list below

Classroom Agreement

Our Values

  • supportive environment for all levels of experience
  • Growing and learning together
  • Integrity (create and present our own work)
  • Enthusiasm to learn

We Do

  • Know how to take up space and when to give up space
  • Share resources, ideas, skills
  • Give constructive feedback
  • Keep an open mind
  • Encourage everyone to express their opinions
  • Be respectful
  • Share our skills and help our peers without judgement

We Don’t Do

  • bring each other down in critiques
  • not be attentive during critiques and presentations
  • create a space of competition rather than learning
  • create offensive contents (sexist, homophobic, racist, etc.)

Digital Classroom Etiquette

  • Feel free to use Zoom backgrounds
  • Wait for our turn with the Zoom raise-hand feature
  • If someone is speaking, ensure your own mic is muted
  • Be mindful that others may not have full control of the environment they are learning from
  • Try to be patient when technical difficulties arise
