On June 16, 2023, Metro will celebrate the completion of the Regional Connector Transit Project, opening of three new rail stations in downtown LA. Riding Metro across LA County will be easier, as passengers will be able to travel between Azusa and Long Beach, and between East LA and Santa Monica, without transferring lines. The project combines the A, E and L Lines into two rail lines — the new A and E Lines — and will improve connections, bringing together the new A and E Lines with the B and D Lines at the 7th St/Metro Center Station.
