​​Building a streambox with Raspberry Pi

​​— Power adaptor
​​— Cirrus sound card (or a different soundcard)
​​— SD Card
​​— Microphones
​​— USB Wifi adaptor
​​
​​— USB SD card reader
​​— Laptop

​​— Maybe a 4G dongle to connect to mobile networks directly, eg

​​— Disk image to flash onto your SD Card (ARM6 for Pi v1; ARM7 for Pi v2)

​​STEPS

​​SET UP AN ACCOUNT AT LOCUS SONUS

​​
​​— From the Locus Sonus login page choose ‘open a new microphone and join the Locustream SoundMap project’
​​
​​— Enter details for your stream name, password, name and email (You can change these later). Click Submit.
​​
​​— An email tells you your details and your stream should be validated quickly by a moderator.
​​

​​INSTALL SOFTWARE

​​
​​— Download Apple Pi Baker and download or copy the disk image for your Pi onto the laptop you will be using
