Problem/Design Kickoff Session

Meeting Format

Phase 1: Understanding the Problem
We will go over the problem statement and make sure everyone clearly understands what needs to be solved. This includes reviewing any known constrains and UX research.

Phase 2: Define User Stories
Now that you all understand the problem break down into more defined user stories.

Phase 3: Sketching/Brainstorming
We will all take about 20 minutes to sketch out, on paper and on your own, what a solution could look like to solve the key elements for the scoped user stories.

Phase 4:  Sharing/Discussions
We will share our sketches and discuss consistencies and outliers.

*Phase 5: Sub-Group Breakout Time (optional)
*This is optional based on time and need. If the group is large or the mockups have lots of variants it’s best to do this step.

We break into two sub-groups and those groups analyze their sketches and come up with a core set of outcomes/todo's/ideas. The groups then present their findings.

Phase 6: Finalize User Stories and Goals/Metrics
Now it’s time to review the original user stories and make any needed adjustments.
