Pigment-Intl Art on the Avenue fundraiser had something for everyone
PIGMENT intl. the artists’ collective, celebrated its Chicago debut with a “curated art experience” “Art on the Avenue” on Thursday, August 16 at “The Club“.  The venue offered the attendees spectacular Chicago skyline vistas, from the ninth floor of the Chicago Symphony Center.  During the event the organization revealed plans for the Pigment International Fine Art’s Tour (PIFAT) beginning with Art Miami/Art Basel 2018.

The curated celebration included an art exhibition featuring PIGMENT Intl’s founding member artists Paul Branton, Gerald Griffin, Jason E. Jones, Blake Lenoir, James Nelson, Dana Todd Pope, Pearlie Taylor, Raymond Thomas, Martha Wade, Minnie Watkins and Reisha Williams.   Other highlights included a live and silent auction.  Collectors, both seasoned and new, vied for works by the Pigment artists with prices soaring to over $2K.  Pigment featured two works by one of its newest artists and both were snapped up by the same collector.  This speaks to Pigment’s mission to champion African American art and artists at every level of their career.

Cuisine was catered by Blue Plate Catering, appropriately paired with exquisite wine and spirit selections from Duke of Earl Wines and Monaco.  Music was provided by nationally syndicated AfroBeats DJ Sheila O.

Pigment thanks those who came out to celebrate this milestone event and the event sponsors Art & Company, The Frame Shop, Lambent Risk Management, Duke of Earl Wines, Master’s Touch Design and Monaco.

Pigment International is actively seeking funders, supporters and investors as it makes plans for Art Miami/Art Basel.  Pigment-Intl can be reached at 312-206-2821 or email PKeenan1@comcast.net.
