Group 1 Notes

Marika (1R: Oluschi, N: Jillian) https://marikaklein.github.io/event-website/

Concert website - combined final project and the face filter assignment making for a full experience. The font has a decorative quality to it, but content seems to be the main focus. The simplicity helps in navigating the website, content is appropriate too.  There is a consistency with the style and layout of each page. Navigational structure is straightforward. but perhaps consider adding illustrated buttons since there are few links, and to emulate the homepage button. Also, might be worth considering the process of scrolling, and the accessibility of the links.

Oluschi (1R: Jillian, N: Raquel) https://oluschi.github.io/event-poster/

The home page is artsy and nostalgic. Its very different for an event. Shows the fashion aspect, straightforward layout and continuity. Not too many links, scrolling effect is effective (like a paper). Consistency in highlighting guest speakers. Try to improve spacing so that there's more focus on one person.

More info page seems unusual = different background colour
utilise anchor links to it takes you lower on the page. (guests, more intro, ect.) so that it feels more unified. Moments where the images look stretched and pixilated. Set just a width and no height. As image are from different sources they look different - apply a filter or treat them in a more unified way (gradient map filter) so that they feel more consistent. (white background, crop, and add to different colour) = make more unified. more of a collage motif throughout the site.

Jillian (1R: Raquel, N: Natalie)

website: Website extremely professional  because of the content. Like the navigation scrolls down with you. Also, the type is extremely successful Enjoy you website. Control over you project. Clear type system. It feels from that time period. Setting up a clear system. Strong move with you navigation. The spirt of how you wanted it to work feel appropriate. Interesting how you thought it as a page template. A loth of letter space in the body paragraph, a little difficult to read. Condensing the width of it and the body paragraph width. The body copy in mobil shouldn’t be less than 6px. Great job of figuring out what content you should add and being realistic. Highlighting some information to the content in the body paragraph.
