Graphic Design - Client Agreement
This is my pledge to you: I guarantee to work my hardest to give you the best product possible within the boundaries of your compensation. I am honest. I love to work, and aim to please my clients. The following contract is meant to simply state what we are agreeing to do for one another to avoid any future surprises, and so we feel completely confident in each other’s hands. This should be simple and transparent. 

As my client, you agree that you have the power and ability to enter into this contract on behalf of your company or organization. We have discussed and agreed upon pricing and compensation for your individual project prior to entering this agreement.

You agree to provide me with everything that I need to complete the project including text, images, and other information when I need it and in the format I ask for. You agree to review my work, provide feedback, and sign-off approval in a timely manner, too, so I do not fall behind. You also agree to stick to the payment schedule set out at the end of this contract. 

As your designer, I agree to create a product suitable for your business identity and satisfactory to you. I promise to deliver your finished image(s) in digital formats of high enough quality to be printed on business related print goods and for web page display when I have been paid in full. I have the experience and ability to perform the services you need. I pledge to carry them out in a professional and timely manner. Along the way I will endeavor to meet all the deadlines set, but cannot be held responsible for a missed date or deadline if you have been late in supplying materials or have not approved or signed off on my work on time at any stage. On top of this, I agree to maintain the confidentiality of any information you provide. 

If you're not happy with the designs and/or work at any stage, you will pay me in full for all of the work that I have produced until that point and you may either cancel this contract or continue to commission me to make further design revisions at a discussed and agreed rate or dollar amount. 

Your file(s) will be available in the following file formats in CMYK and/or RGB color modes:
  • AI/PSD
  • PDF
  • JPG
  • PNG

  1. After the delivery of the designs, I am no longer responsible for the safe keeping or storage of these files.
  1. I will provide watermarked images in lieu of high resolution versions at my discretion throughout this project. 

By signing this contract you agree that you understand that you have no right to alter the images I create in any way except to change its size for printing or digital display. If you desire any alterations you agree to consult me first, and I will be allowed the first option to make alterations when possible and at the rate of $40.00 per hour, billed to the 1/2hr, with a general estimate provided before work begins. 

You guarantee to me that any elements of text, graphics, photos, designs, trademarks, or other artwork that you provide me for this project is either owned by yourself, or you have permission to use them. When final payment is received, copyright is automatically assigned as follows: You own the graphics and other visual elements that are created for you for this project, by me. I will give you a copy of all files in the requested file formats as outlined earlier in this contract.

I reserve the right to display and link to your completed project as part of my personal portfolio and to write about the project(s) on social media, in interviews, on my website and any other forms of communication. You are responsible for completing a Federal Trademark Registration if you wish to use these designs as your company Trademark.

  • A $50.00 late fee will be added every 14 days of non-payment.
