Gov Group Grant Proposal

What are some deliverables that we could commit to in the gov group grant proposal? Brainstorm potential projects/workstreams below ๐Ÿ‘‡ย

  • โœ… ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ‘ Research on Radiks and Collections post Stacks 2.0ย
  • โœ… ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ† ๐Ÿ‘ Develop โ€œCanโ€™t Be Evilโ€ code of conduct/manifesto for Stacks community ย
  • ย Manage and support community-built decentralized Radiksย
  • Some have created their own solutions: Paradigma Crosscheck / Pravica
  • Manage and support community-built decentralized Collectionsย
  • Manage and support community-built decentralized Collections and Radiks
  • ๐Ÿ† Develop proposal for new version of app miningย
  • ๐Ÿ‘ Develop contributing guidelines for GitHub reposย
  • Jason: thought - this would be a good tester to putting through a grant app (simple)
  • ๐Ÿ˜€ Develop a proposal for how the group should evolve to allow wider community participation/leadershipย
  • Meetings โ†’ Updates โ†’ Blog Posts (for wider sharing / regular publishing)
  • Increased transparency and creative options for community wide participation relevant to Governance Working Group decision making/activities
  • ๐Ÿ™‚ Organize a governance hackathonย
  • ๐Ÿ† Fund ongoing research into more effective governance strategies and tools (e.g., DAOs, token-based voting, quadratic voting/CLR funding, democracy)ย
  • Gather community feedback on the desire to have full user profiles. ย With the current connect ux, users have to revert to the command line to update their profiles, including adding adding a name or avatar. ย From a developer perspective, enabling users to add information to their profiles allows a greater level of personalization. ย Users may not want personalization, so these fields should be optional. ย Proposed fields include those previously included in the Blockstack browser. Name, avatar, email, etcโ€ฆ
  • Management & support of a path to decentralized & distributed governance network. (Sufficient paths can be vetted via app chain deployment in SIP process.)
  • Support for Web3 or Stacks based communication (Friedgerโ€™s OI chat w/ Matrixโ€™s Element Client)
  • Create a method of financially rewarding programmerโ€™s contributing to Stacks development: example: https://tip4commit.com/ 1
  • A Ethereum Foundation supported entity with a focus on only developer education/onboarding and organizing hackathons all over the world. I saw some projects are tie-ins between Ethereum and IPFS/Filecoin.
