F20 UPenn Art of the Web: Code of Conduct
At the start of each semester, we will create a group agreement, otherwise known as a code of conduct that has been written collectively. (As a reference, we might refer to the School for Poetic Computation’s code of conduct).

Each person must add at least two items! Please list below

  • A safe space to make mistakes
  • Pushing creative boundaries
  • Collaborative support

We Do

  • Challenge and push each other respectfully 
  • Don’t be afraid to provide constructive criticism
  • Be mindful of your own and others’ participation, everyone should contribute
  • Ask each other questions about their thought processes and decisions 
  • Value asking questions-- there are no bad questions.
  • Be open to others point of view and ideas
  • Recognize everyone has different backgrounds and personal experiences
  • Allow ourselves to be open to constructive criticism
  • Embrace our different forms of creative expression

We Don’t Do

  • No malicious critique (being mean for the sake of being mean)
  • Criticize without offering suggestions for improvement
  • No homophobic/transphobic/racist/ableist language. 
  • Stay quiet when we believe our voice can offer something new to the conversation
  • Interrupt each-other uninvited

Digital Classroom Etiquette

  • Feel free to use Zoom backgrounds
  • We’ll aim to avoid excessive time in Zoom, but when we’re meeting as a class (Critique, guest presentations, discussions) please have your video on.
  • Feel free to jump in with questions
  • Mute yourself when someone is talking
