F20 Core Interaction 1: Code of Conduct
At the start of each semester, we will create a group agreement, otherwise known as a code of conduct that has been written collectively. (As a reference, we might refer to the School for Poetic Computation’s code of conduct).

Each person must add at least two items! Please list below

Speak with respect, being mindful of different, and sometimes contrasting, viewpoints to your own.

Respect everyone’s own style of work.

Help and encourage others to push themselves
Listen and take in what others have to say
Give full attention when speaking
Give feedback generously and don’t be afraid of sharing your ideas/knowledge.

We Don’t Do

Unhelpful criticism

Judge other for having different levels of knowledge on a particular topic 
Make fun of other students’ designs you might dislike
Personal insults
Challenge someone’s work and attempt to one up them
Unsolicited Technical Jargon
Speaking in direct, clear and accessible language
Afraid to ask a dumb question
Participate in class discussions 
Being a source of distraction
Make fun of people

Digital Classroom Etiquette

  • Feel free to use Zoom backgrounds
  • We’ll aim to avoid excessive time in Zoom, but when we’re meeting as a class (Critique, guest presentations, discussions) please have your video on.
