Eat in Common
Hey All!

I wanted to take some time to reach out to you all about an opportunity to get involved in an exciting project you may have already heard about called Eat in Common.

Call for Developers

Almost a year ago Metteliva reached out to me about getting involved with helping her with getting EatinCommon.com to WordPress. The current platform is a custom CakePHP build. One of the main pain points with the current platform is the amount of effort needed to add or test new features quickly and that’s where I think EatinCommon will be able to leverage something like WordPress.

Unfortunately I don’t have the capacity to continue this journey together with EatinCommon but I believe Metteliva’s vision and the product so I decided to take the time to help them reach out for a WordPress developer who is interested in joining the team and their vision to make something awesome and powered by WordPress.

About EatinCommon.com

Eat in Common, founded by Metteliva Sofia Henningsen, is about sharing meals, meeting new people and authentic food experiences. In the comfort of private homes and other locations.
Users sign up on the website, host a meal for a group of people – or attend as guest at someone else´s event. It’s cosy, personal, social and fun. Based on trust and the idea of people thriving in social settings. The community is growing and counts 2000+ users and 25 registered cities.
EatinCommon is greatly supported by Innovasjon Norge.

If any of you were at WordCamp Norway 2016 in February you may have caught Metteliva’s talk on Eat in Common and her next steps and plans to move the platform to WordPress. You can catch her whole presentation here:
