The Rector’s Report
Holy Week, Palm Sunday, and Easter plans are full-steam-ahead.
We’ve had tremendous success getting parishioners and their families and friends vaccinations. We’ve even connected with some long-lost parishioners, which has been really good. As of Saturday morning, we’ve gotten 18 appointments for people. This has been rather time-consuming—we start around 5:30 in the morning, and sometimes we’re back at it at 1AM in the morning. But, I think it’s very, very worth-while.
Communication Commission Report
We started a prayer group chat in GroupMe and already have 12 members! Father Rick posts the prayer lists a few times a week. Others occasionally post prayer requests or what they are praying for. Father Rick also added a slide with our social media at the end of the service live streams. Parishioners continue to interact with those in the online chat boxes on FB and YoutTube.
Father Rick and I have put together a communication team. We recruited Katie Williams who is great with graphic design from her fashion experience. Let me know if you have any flyer requests that you'd like made and posted on our social media and either Katie or myself will make it happen. Owen Glass will continue to assist with managing the live stream. The last member of our team is Tim Opremcak who can lend his experience with the website and being a long time member of St. Mark’s. We had a great first team meeting.
If anyone has any suggestions or requests for anything they'd like to see related to communication please let me know!
(FYI, we are +16 subscribers on YouTube in the past month. We’ve had 928 views in the last month on YouTube with 173 hours of video watched. We’ve had 2 new Facebook page likes, and 5 more followers in the last month, and 553“engagements.”)—Rick
