Dynamic Subsets allow you to save specific states of Connecter, like search results, a folder with individual filtering or a selection of tags.
Every time you use such a saved state, Connecter shows the dynamic assets subset that matches this state. Unlike Tags and Collections, you don't manually add assets to Dynamic Subsets but only define the conditions Connecter will follow to show you all relevant assets the moment you use a saved Dynamic Subset.
Dynamic Subsets are not shared across the team - they are visible only to the users who create them.
Creating Dynamic Subsets
You can define three main types of Dynamic Subsets: using a folder, a selection of tags or an asset search. To create a Dynamic Subset Connecter must be in either of these three valid states. You won't be able to create a Dynamic Subset from any other state like Isolate view, Reference view, External files view, etc.
To create a Dynamic Subset based on afolder:
Select a folder.
Go to the Dynamic Subsets tab in the Productivity panel.
Click the"+" icon on the top right.

To create a Dynamic Subset based on tags:
Select one or multiple tags.
Go to the Dynamic Subsets tab in the Productivity panel.
Click the"+" icon on the top right.

To create a Dynamic Subset based on search:
Search for assets using any search term.

Using Dynamic Subsets
Note that when you select a Dynamic Subset, the assets you see, based on its configuration, are neither contained into, linked or otherwise related to this Dynamic Subset. It only forces Connecter to go into that specific preconfigured state, and it's the state that defines the assets subset you see in the Assets view - hence the name Dynamic Subset. For example, if you create a Dynamic Subset from a selection of tags, when you select it, it will force Connecter to go into the state where those tags are selected.
To use a Dynamic Subset that is already created:
Go to the Dynamic Subsets tab in the Productivity panel.
Click on a Dynamic Subset in the list.
HINTS:
The icon before the name of each Dynamic Subset denotes which of the three types it is: a folder, tag or search.
Due to how the feature works, you cannot select multiple Dynamic Subsets as you'd typically do in Tags or Collections because Connecter cannot be in various states simultaneously.
Due to how the feature works, you don't see the number of assets for a Dynamic Subset as it works in Tags or Collections. Every time you select a Dynamic Subset, you see a dynamic number of assets based on the current status of your workspace.
Configuring Dynamic Subsets
For each Dynamic Subset you add, you can use a specific configuration of the various filtering, sorting and other options to determine what asset you see in the Assets view. Most options apply to all three Dynamic Subset types(Common rules), and others are specific to each type(Specific rules).
Configuring Dynamic Subsets using Common rules
For all three Dynamic Subset types, you can use the following options to configure individual rules:
Asset types filtering with additional filtering by file formats.
Secondary filtering by different metadata properties.
Stacking.
Sorting.
Filter by filename.
