DEVA24/MIX16 v4.00
BUGS and REQUESTS

BUGS:

  • (edit) OUTPUT SELECT PAGE: it seems that we could see the track name only when we edit the track name - not when the track name reflects the input name.
  • ENTERING NOTES:
  • //UPDATE in 2.75// Now text showed is truncated at the right end of the screen: even if we can still write, we don’t see what we’re writing after the screen space is finished. In the example below, the full note was “>>>…>>>123456789” and the last part is not visible. Maybe a scroll option, or text moving according to the writing, or something similar could be better imho. When I write long notes they exceed the notes box and, when the screen is over, they start back from left to right overwriting what is already there. In the picture below, just for example, I wrote many arrow characters and then numbers from 1 to 9, and you can see that it continues writing on the same line.
  • //UPDATE in 2.75// Text font size of STN is reduced, but notes still go right almost on the meters and then start from back again overwriting what was already written. Even here, maybe a sort of scroll option, or two not overwritten lines, or just showing only the beginning of the text could be better imho. In the home screen (see picture below), when a long note is written for a take, it is almost impossible to read it, since everything is overwritten.

  • MIRRORING ISSUES:
  • Only CF1 Mirror status shown on Main Screen, even though the screen is cycling between CF1 and CF2 Information. Makes it appear that both CF cards are at 100% when only CF1 is the only finished CF. As the machine displays CF1 information, and CF2 information, the Mirror Status should follow, as well, v2.44
  • when the only CF2 card is inserted and working, in the home screen we only read “Mirror=Off” and so no info is showed about Primary or Mirror disks free space or activities (see pictures while in REC, STOP and mirror settings, showing the presence of CF2 set ON):
  • When the CF1 is full, in the home page it appears a double “Mirror Disk Full” line, like if both CF cards are full, even if the CF2 has still free space (see picture):
  • Mirroring on Esata drive as CF2, drive is shown in home window but no progress is displayed. Progress is in fact displayed on the My Deva screen.

  • When on Continuous Mirror, mirroring stops upon pressing Play; should it keep mirroring in Play?

  • Input Delay in .1ms steps as advertised (now it’s in 1ms steps)

  • FALSE TAKE: when we press “Stop” and then “F4 (Znet)” button to mark a False Take, even if a “X” is added right after the previous take number, the following take we record doesn’t have the same number as the previous (false) take, but goes on +1. I.e. if I mark a take called 12 T1 as a false take it correctly becomes 12 T1X, but then the subsequent take will not be 12 T1 again (as it should be) but 12 T2. Moreover, it doesn’t happen to have automatically FALSE TAKE written in the note field as happened with the Deva/Fusion

  • INCR. TAKE: when I write something like 1pu (for pick-up takes): the next take becomes 1pv and not 2pu like it happened, correctly, in the Deva/Fusion. I don’t know if this could be considered a bug or a it’s a choice

  • INTERNAL SLATE MIC level adjustment, changes EXTERNAL SLATE MIC level. I am using the forward EXT MIC input(1/8”). V2.07

  • Sometimes, when I press Shift+Track (to select or deselect a track to record) a beep is heard in the headphones.

  • Mix16 HP1-2-3 buttons don’t have any effect on changing what is heard in the headphones while in Play

  • Holding down Back button normally returns to home screen. However from the Preset screen for either Track Name or Input Name it only goes back one step, and must be held again to return to home screen. Also after pressing PFL on Mix16, Back button cancels the function, but the touchscreen Headphone Status field still indicates that PFL is engaged.

  • REQUESTS:

  • Non-global Compressor/Limiter (C/L) parameters for either each Mix Track and each Input

  • When having muted privacy outputs (ie. comteks, EPK, ETC), having to unmute quickly is a challenge. Having a talkback button (TK2 ?) that could unmute all outputs, or selected outputs would be a huge help.

  • Ability to unmute outputs quickly, for rehearsals.

  • Be able to assign inputs pre and post fader to the outputs no only tracks, like we do in the Nomad.
