Basic ability recipe

Effects

  • bonus to a subset of an action’s usage
  • effect/position/scale/quality/potency
  • Add special armor usage
  • Reduce harm
  • Bonus to resistance rolls
  • extra downtime action
  • clear some stress
  • Permission to bend/ignore specific rules
  • Permission to bend fictional limitations
  • i.e. Do something that doesn’t make fictional sense without justification 
  • e.g. Leech’s venomous
  • Increase personal resource gain
  • Gain connections
  • Free items on missions (free restock, reduced load cost)
  • Reduce specific types of consequences
  • Buff minions
  • increase load limit
  • reduce effects of higher load
  • Add tags to things or gain additional bonuses from things with tags.
  • Spell or other specific ability (probably with a stress cost)
  • Ability to communicate with something you normally couldn’t
