Briefing Contém Cerva

About this Contest

I'm Daniel Fosco, UX designer responsible for the UI and experience behind the Contém Cerva startup. We are looking for a logo designer to help us define the first iteration of our brand.

As a designer myself, I can assure that this contest will be feedback-intensive, as I'm hard set on achieving a logo that communicates our brand, our business goals and our ~ ~ vibe ~ ~.

Detailed feedback is also a way to respect the time of the designers involved in the contest and make sure they are all able to deliver their best work.

This contest will have guaranteed prize from the start.

Please read this detailed brief, as it describes the whole project and what kind of design process we're looking for:

About Us

Contém Cerva is an online platform to discover, review and discuss about craft beers, currently in development. We are a team of two partners, one UX designer and one developer based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Our goal is to become the biggest platform for the brazilian craft beer community, with a curated catalog of over 5 thousand registered beers. In the platform, users will be able to:

  • Search different beer types, filtering by flavour, ranking and other attributes
  • Review each beer and interact with other users
  • Read articles and tips about brewing and craft beer culture
  • Buy beers available on the site (in the future)

The logo should invite the craft beer audience to participate in these activities and build a this new community with us.

BRAND IDENTITY

“Cerva” is an informal slang for beer (“cerveja”, in portuguese). The name means, in a literal translation, Contains Beer.
Our goal for the Contém Cerva logo is to communicate with the young-adult consumers in the craft beer market, while positioning ourselves as a beer-related startup.

Contém Cerva is…

Young, not juvenile
Experienced, not classic
Bold, not pretentious
Curated, not restricted
Exciting, not fun
