The Action Plan for Animal Welfare(APAW)offers a significant opportunity to create a brighter future for animals both at home and abroad. It provides an overview of our wide-reaching and ambitious reform programme and sets out the Government’s current and future work on animal welfare and conservation.
It will deliver a programme of activity that centres
around five key themes. These include:

Pets and Sporting Animals
Wild animals
